Last year our parish instituted a new discipleship initiative comprised of three phases:

Faith in Action (how we serve others)

Prayer and Presence (how we strengthen our relationship with God) and

Generosity (how we use our resources for the good of our parish and others) 

In September we completed the Prayer and Presence phase. This phase invited each of us to pause and reflect on our spiritual journey, asking how we are growing closer to the Lord through prayer, formation, and fellowship.

Mary at La Salette talked of low Sunday Mass attendance and asked the children if they said their prayers. In the same spirit, we took this question to heart, discerning how prayer shapes our daily lives. To mark the completion of this phase, our parish came together for a joyful international festival of food and entertainment—a celebration especially fitting for a community served by missionaries from around the world.

It was a vibrant reminder of the rich diversity of our parish family and the unity we find in Christ.
